Rare Scandinavian seating set designed by Karl-Erik Ekselius for J.O.C in Sweden during the 1970s, consisting of two lounge chairs and a matching coffee table. The ensemble reflects Ekselius’s focus on comfort, durability, and material contrast.
The lounge chairs feature dark brown leather seats, backrests, and armrests, mounted on polished aluminium frames. The leather shows a beautiful, well-developed patina that adds depth and character while remaining supple and comfortable. The construction is solid and well balanced, offering excellent seating comfort.
The coffee table is made of dark-stained oak and shares the same polished aluminium frame, creating a cohesive and visually consistent set. Its proportions and materials complement the armchairs while maintaining a strong, functional presence.
A high-quality and increasingly rare Swedish modern set from the 1970s, valued for its comfort, material integrity, and designer attribution.
