Mid-century modern Italian bar cabinet from the 1960s, distinguished by its integrated hand-made ceramic decoration. The ceramic panel features a martini glass motif, emblematic of Italian design and social culture of the period.
The cabinet opens to reveal two wooden interior shelves designed for the storage of bottles and glassware. A secondary section unfolds into a fold-down table, allowing for drink preparation or serving. The wooden support leg for the drop-leaf section is cleverly concealed within the front of the cabinet, demonstrating thoughtful construction and functional engineering.
The piece is supported by black lacquered metal legs fitted with adjustable round brass feet, adding stability and a refined material contrast. The overall design reflects the practical yet expressive approach typical of Italian furniture from the 1960s.
A highly unusual and collectible example of mid-century Italian design.
